Heather Gail Harman's favourite painting locations 'at home' are the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the wonderful leafy lanes of Lancashire, where she lives. These paintings tend towards a quiet reflective quality - often (but not always) without figures - a human presence - which could spoil the feeling of solitude and calm. Her painting locations 'abroad' range from the flower filled pots in an Andalucian courtyard; an old doorway swathed in exotic foliage; an avenue of dramatic plane trees and of course, the colours of the sea - in Turkey and Greece and her ever popular 'alleyway' scenes.
